The "Pride of Southwest Arlington," the Martin High School Band features four concert bands, two jazz bands, colorguard, winterguard, percussion orchestra and pit orchestra.  Members of the winds and percussion also perform with the Martin Symphonic and Philharmonic Orchestras.

In 2009, James Martin High School was named the GRAMMY Foundation "National Signature School", recognizing the school with the most outstanding performing arts programs.  

This includes band, 
orchestra and choir.
